Born in Abia State, Nigeria

NOVEMBER 27th, 1964

Barr. Mrs Nkiruka Chidinma Ukelonu was born into the family of
Dr Abraham and Caroline Nwabueze from Isingwu Okpoala in Umuahia, Umuahia North Local Government Area, Abia State. She is the 3rd born of 4 children.
She finished her primary school in Umuahia and later went to secondary school at Holy Rosary girls secondary school Umuahia, Abia State. Her love for justice took her all the way to Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria where she studied law in 1984 and graduated with Hons. She went on to pass the Nigerian Bar and was called in 1985. She finished the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in 1986.

In 1987 she joined the Federal Ministry of Justice as a litigation officer and later a chief legal officer/ legal Adviser 1989 (Federal Government Staff Housing Loans Board). She rose through the ranks holding different positions in several Federal Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies until she became a full Director in 2018.
She became a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), The International Bar Association (IBA), Global Association of Female Attorneys(GAFA) and International Federation of Female Lawyers(FIDA).

She was married to High Chief Eze Ukelonu (who calls her chi-chi) and they were blessed with 5 amazing children and 2 grandchildren. Until her Death she was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunty, Guardian, Colleague, Mentor, Prayer coordinator and friend.
She was a devout Christian and held several posts within the Church. She was a homecell provider, coordinator and secretary, she was a worker in the sanctuary unit.

She believed strongly in God and the word of God. She was a strong tither and believed in the power of tithing. She was dearly loved and cherished by those who knew her. Her kind heart and easy-going personality touched and forever changed the lives of strangers and those she loved. She always went out of her comfort zone to aid those in need and also supported several charities and orphanages.
