Good Bye My Dear Lovely Chi-Chi
What can I say now about my lovely friend Chi-Chi? I got to know Chi-Chi closely when I was posted to the International and Comparative Law Department of the Federal Ministry of Justice in 1994, where I worked with some of the nicest people I know. We worked as a family and had very interesting moments and good days before the wave of work took us to different paths. She was a very lovely, hardworking and respectful person. Our paths crossed again when I was posted to the Department of Solicitors in the FMOJ. This brought us very close as she helped me to understand the assignment. I relied greatly on her and we bonded very well, I enjoyed her quiet nature and inner beauty. We used to go out for road walk every morning as we tried to keep fit. When I learnt of her ill health, I did not feel discouraged, we gave each other hope and we both knew that Gods mercies endure forever. Chi-Chi fought a good fight but who are we to question God, Therefore, we bow to the will of the Almighty God as He knows best. In all these, my happiness is that Chi-Chi had a personal encounter with God through Christ. She revered and worshipped God to the exclusion of all and I know Chi-Chi is in a better place where there is no pain or sorrow, in the bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ. Chi-Chi My Dear, Rest In Perfect Peace. For Adaku and Chineme, and your siblings, always look up to God for He is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient. God is there for you all and I will like you to pray and meditate always with the 3rd and 4th stanzas of this song “Hark My Soul It’s The Lord” by William Cooper
Can a woman’s tender care
Cease towards the child she bear
Yea she may forgetful be
Yet will I remember thee.
Mine is an unchanging love,
Higher than th’ highest above
Deeper than the depths beneath
Free and faithful strong as death.
God is speaking to you. HE is always there for you. He will always protect you. No earthly parents can come close to the love God has for us.
Fare Thee Well My Friend
