CONDOLENCE MESSAGE BY THE FAMILY OF NAVY COMMODORE (RTD.) DR. AND MRS. C.E. UWANDU
On behalf of the family of Navy Commodore (Rtd.) Dr. C.E. Uwandu, I hereby commiserate with the family of my cherished school mate, faithful friend, and colleague, late Mrs. Nkiruka Chidinma Ukelonu, who was recently called to eternal glory. Chi Chi, our paths first crossed in life in our cherished alma mater, Holy Rosary Secondary School, Umuahia, where your Class of 1979 was two classes below mine. You were then known as Chi Chi Nwabueze, and decades later, most of our old school mates still refer to you as Chi Chi. When we all moved on from Holy Rosary, our paths crossed again as State Counsel in the Federal Ministry of Justice. It deeply saddens us, your colleagues in the Federal Ministry of Justice, that ill health robbed you of the opportunity to finish your career race. Chi Chi, you faced life’s vicissitudes with uncommon courage and forbearance, and you always wore a beautiful smile on your face. With the same indomitable spirit, we also watched you fight the health challenge that cut your beautiful life short. We urge your immediate family in particular, as well as your extended family members, and other loved ones, to take heart, as we commend you to God’s everlasting care. God in his infinite mercy and wisdom knows when to grant rest to his creation. Chi Chi you have run a remarkable race, and you have finished strongly. With the wonderful children you have raised, your footprints are etched deeply in the sands of time. You are now with your Creator, beyond the pains of earthly afflictions. To Chi Chi’s children and grandchildren, we say ‘’be consoled.’’ Celebrate your mum and grandma, and keep the family flag flying high. May Chi Chi rest in the perfect peace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. Your HOROSCO School mate, and Federal Ministry of Justice colleague, Philomena Chinwe Uwandu (Mrs.)Retired Director (Legal),Federal Ministry of Justice, Abuja.
